Plagiarism Policy

Selaparang Multidisciplinary Research (SEMAR) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and publishes only original scholarly works. All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin before entering the peer-review process.

The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 25%, excluding references, quotations, and commonly used phrases. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

SEMAR does not tolerate any form of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, inappropriate paraphrasing, data plagiarism, and duplicate publication. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources are properly cited and acknowledged.

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are identified before publication, the manuscript will be rejected. If such misconduct is discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to publish corrections, retract the article, or take other appropriate editorial actions in accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
