Publication Ethics

Global Research in Education and Teaching is an academic journal published to facilitate the dissemination of research findings and scholarly studies in the field of education and teaching. This journal is peer-reviewed and open-access, covering various aspects of education, including pedagogy, curriculum, learning strategies, educational technology, and innovations in teaching.

The journal is freely available to be read, downloaded, copied, distributed, printed, searched, or linked to the full text of its articles, as well as stored and used for other academic purposes without financial, legal, or technical barriers, except those related to internet access itself.

The scientific publication ethics adopted by this journal refer to the Regulation of the Head of LIPI No. 5 of 2014 on the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication, which includes the following principles:

  • Morality: Upholding ethical values in academic writing.
  • Scientific Integrity: Maintaining honesty and truth in scientific publications.
  • Neutrality: Free from conflicts of interest in journal management.
  • Fairness: Granting authorship credit to those who deserve it.
  • Honesty: Avoiding duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism (DF2P) in publication.

Responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief

  • Establishing journal policies, including scope and publication frequency.
  • Managing the editorial team and peer reviewers.
  • Ensuring confidentiality for all parties involved.
  • Overseeing the implementation of intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
  • Developing publication policies to improve journal quality.
  • Building collaborations and journal marketing strategies.
  • Ensuring the sustainability of journal publication.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Providing feedback to authors to improve article quality.
  • Reviewing articles based on established language standards.
  • Maintaining objectivity in the editorial process.
  • Avoiding content related to sensitive issues (e.g., ethnicity, religion, race, and intergroup relations) or that may cause negative impacts.
  • Ensuring that every publication has undergone rigorous evaluation.
  • Editing the layout of articles according to the journal format.

Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

  • Providing objective feedback on reviewed articles.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of manuscripts under review.
  • Avoiding personal comments in manuscript evaluations.

Author Ethics

  • Presenting original work and avoiding violations of academic ethics.
  • Providing adequate citations for all referenced sources.
  • Avoiding simultaneous submission of the same article to more than one journal.
  • Avoiding conflicts of interest that may affect research objectivity.
  • Submitted articles must be original research or academic studies that have not been previously published.

Authors whose articles are accepted for publication are required to complete a Statement of Scientific Publication Ethics as a commitment to the applicable academic standards
